Bloody Sunday anniversary commemorated with March across Selma bridge
A reenactment of Bloody Sunday March occurred this Sunday. As a part of all the events to help remember the 50th anniversary if a turning point in the civil rifts movement.
Some people who participated Sunday wee also going to march on Monday to Montgomery for the route of Martin Luther king jr.
President Obama visited Selma on Saturday "in acknowledgement of ongoing racial tension and attempts to limit voting rights, declared the work of the US Civil rights love my advanced but unfinished"
We remeber the 18 year old Michael Beown who was killed by the white police officer in Madison, Wisconsin during this time therefore sparking protests there as well.
"What happened on that bridge has changed America forever" says a Georgia democrat
(This is cool because I was in bham during this time and there was a ton of traffic bc they stopped traffic for Obama. HA)
